The Neck Brace System stops dangerous movement of the neck in a controlled way, both in sports riding and on the road. The energy of an impact is effectively dissipated away from the neck to the upper body.
 
The likelihood of whiplash injuries caused by bending of the neck beyond its normal range of motion to the front (hyper-flexion), back (hyper-extension) or side (lateral hyper-flexion) is significantly reduced.
 
The risk of injuries resulting from downward pressure on the neck due to an impact on the helmet (axial compression) or the head being forced backwards (posterior hyper-translation) is also minimized.
